Rubberized Horizontal Joint Sealer is hot-poured bitumen based horizontal sealant formulated for sealing low movement and construction joints, where joint spacing is not more than 10 metres, in concrete pavements and floor slabs.

• Rubberized Horizontal Joint Sealer possesses good adhesion to concrete, masonry and asphaltic materials.
• The product resists dirt and ingress of grit.

• Ensure that the joint surfaces are completely dry, clean and frost free.
• Remove all dirt, dusts, laitance and loose materials preferably by grit blasting or by rigorous wire brushing.
• Immediately prior to priming, blow out all remaining loose dust with dry, oil - free compressed air.
• Priming is normally applicable to new joints. New concrete surfaces must be cured before priming.
• Absorbent surfaces such as concrete, brickwork and timber may require priming with a Techiad Black Bitumen Paint.
• Allow primer to become touch dry before sealing, normally 1 to 2 hours.
• Metal surfaces do not require priming but should be warmed with gas torch to ensure satisfactory adhesion..
• Ferrous metals should be treated with an anti-corrosion primer.
